The ever improving Old Royalists in UAE (ORUAE) group added another feather in to their cap in their brief history of existence, by planning out this year’s AGM together with a dinner dance in a small scale in Dubai’s famous Marco Polo Hotel.

Again the dinner charges for the Old Royalist members were subsidized by the committee to attract greater participation of membership. About 54 ORUAE members participated in the AGM. A surprise gift of Men’s perfume bottle was given to every member who entered the conference hall to take part in the AGM. . It was appropriately named as `ROYALE’ by Rasasi perfumes and was organized by courtesy our committee member Sujith Jayawardhana.

Part of the El Rancho night club & the adjacent Buffet dinner area were uniquely decorated by Royal `blue & Gold’ flags & Balloons and gave the Royalists a boost to their Royal feelings. To rekindle the memories of our dearest ALMA MATAR, a video projection was done on a large screen inside EL Rancho which gave everybody in the night club a hint of our great pedigree!! Thanks to our committee member Sirimevan Illankoon for preparing the Video material.

After a few Royal spirits down the throat with a few rounds in the dance floor; tapping the feet to the tune of S’lankan band `Friends’ & in between having a cordial chit chat with fellow Royalists who had turned up in very good numbers all the way from Abu Dhabi, every body moved to enjoy a sumptuous dinner catered by new –name-in-town; ` Karu’s Island’!!
