| As it was agreed by the joint organizing committees of Royal-Thomian & to give an opportunity of wider participation of Old Boys in both schools, the cricket matches were grouped into 3 categories. They were; |

| Deepal Rajaguru was the Royal coordinator while Rajiv Perera was the Thomian coordinator for this year. The event took place in Dubai Exiles RFC grounds on 18 Th February 2005. Since it was staged in a somewhat somber atmosphere as a mark of respect to the victims of devastating Tsunami debacle in December previous year, many events which would bring pomp & pageantry were cancelled. Even the players were requested to wear the previous year jerseys. The music was down graded to DJ music .Yet; the enthusiasm during this traditional gulf encounter was at its usual best even though the turnout on the day was comparatively less. Royal was captained by Amal Karunaratne in Cricket & Samantha Diagubadu captained the Rugby. |
